A new study had presented some new conclusions in front of the world. The study suggests that Oxygen might have covered the atmosphere of the Earth, a million of years earlier than it was believed previously.

The fact that helps in justifying the statement is that life akin to modern plants, which is dependent on sunlight, had evolved at a very earlier stage in the history of Earth. The findings also possessed the implications for extraterrestrial life too.

According to the astronomers from the University of Sydney, a massive black hole which was situated in the heart of The Milky Way galaxy erupted with such a force that it illuminated a cloud located 200,000 light years away, about two million years ago.

The researchers found the clues for their discovery from a lacy thread of gas called Magellanic Stream, which comprises mostly of hydrogen.
