Insomnia could raise Risk of Kidney Disease

A study conducted by researchers from the University of Tennessee Health Science Center in Memphis has linked insomnia with decline in kidney function. The study team checked medical records and kidney health among United States veterans. The study team found that chronic insomnia could impact kidney health and even raise the risk of kidney failure in certain cases. Results of the study were presented at American Society of Nephrology Kidney Week 2017.
