Science-slashing budget will make America weak, sick & stupid: physicist says

President Donald Trump’s proposed budget cuts to climate science, health and the arts would make the United States “weak,” “sick” and “stupid,” renowned physicist Neil deGrasse Tyson said.

Tyson also alleged that Trump was trying to transform the EPA into the “Environmental Destruction Agency,” which would thwart Earth’s life-support systems.

He further added that ignoring climate change would allow glaciers to melt at a faster rate, flooding the world’s coastal cities in particular.

Commenting on the proposed budget cuts, Tyson, “The fastest way to Make America Weak Again: Cut science funds to our agencies that support it. The fastest way to Make America Sick Again: Cut funding to the National Institutes of Health.”

Even though Tyson is a scientist, yet he also criticized the president’s proposed budget cuts to federal funding for arts. He said one can imagine a land without art, but it would not be a desirable place to live in.

Nearly every federal agency, including the State Department and EPA, will likely see some sort of funding; with Defense, Homeland Security and Veterans Affairs being the only exceptions.
